Teresa Claudette Barrett Teresa Claudette Barrett, age 37, of Mountain City, TN went to be with the Lord on Thursday, July 25, 2013 at Sycamore Shoals Hospital. She was born August 12, 1975 to Junior Franklin Barrett and Sandra Kay Price Barrett. Teresa had lived in Mountain City most of her life and was a 1994 graduate of Johnson County High School and Virginia Highlands College. She was an accountant for Food Country at their corporate office in Abingdon, VA. She enjoyed listening to the music of various singer-songwriters, going to the beach, going to movies, spending time with her animals, her family, her friends, and her Church family. She was preceded in death by her grandmothers, Bertie M. Price and Susan Queen Victoria Barrett, her uncles Charlie Price and Jack Price, and good friend Coy Hawks. Teresa was a member of Community Church of Mountain City. Teresa is survived by her parents, Junior Franklin Barrett and Sandra Kay Barrett, aunts and uncles Jean Forrester and husband Glen, Opal Lewis and husband Earl, Bruce Price and wife Purtie Mae, Dennis Price and wife Sharon, all of Mountain City, TN, Jerry Price and wife Martha of Alexander City, AL, James Edward Barrett of Piney Flats, TN, and by Joanie Lowe. She is also survived by special friends Kevin Hubbard, Robin Kurtz, Millie Isaacs and by Sandra's caregiver, Michelle Lewis, and by many cousins. A memorial service will be held at 3:00 PM on Sunday, August 4, 2013 from Community Church, 167 W.E. Neatherly Rd., Mountain City, TN with Rev. Ron Drake officiating. The family will receive friends following the service. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to the Benevolence Fund at Community Church of Mountain City, P.O. Box 21, Road, Mountain City, TN 37683. Friends may visit any time at the home of Teresa's parents at 229 B. Johnson Rd, Mountain City, TN.
