Andrew B. Isaacs

Andrew Brian Isaacs, age 30, of Blountville, Tennessee, and formerly of Mountain City, Tennessee, passed away on Friday, August 23, 2013 at the Greystone Health Care Center due to complications from injuries that he sustained during the 2011 Tornadoes. He was born on May 15, 1983 to Andrew L. Isaacs and the late Dorothy Herdman Issacs, who passed away on April 28, 2011, also from injuries sustained in the 2011 Tornados. Andrew was a graduate of Johnson County High School. Prior to his injuries, which left him paralyzed, Andrew loved being outdoors with nature, taking walks and enjoying God's creations. During his stay at Greystone, Andrew loved to play video games and watch movies and enjoyed being spoiled by his nurses. Andrew is survived by his father, Andrew Andy' Isaacs; his Aunt and Adopted' mother, Phyllis Isaacs and her husband Rob, all of Mountain City, TN; sister and brother-in-law, Priscilla Courtner and husband Junior of Laurel Bloomery, TN; brother, Matthew Isaacs of Mountain City, TN; one niece, Angel Courtner; one nephew, Channing Isaacs; several cousins; special Aunts: Imogene Bunn and Mary Alice Herdman; all of his friends at Greystone Health Care Center and several more aunts, uncles and cousins. Funeral Services for Andrew will be conducted at 2:00 p.m. Monday, August 26, 2013 at the Mountain City Funeral Home with Brother Roy Dowell to officiate. Special Music will be provided by Ms. Sandy Roberts and the Doe Valley Baptist Church Choir. The family will receive friends from 1-2:00 p.m. prior to the service. Graveside Service and Interment will follow from the Sunset Memorial Park. Pallbearers will be Rob Isaacs, Robbie Isaacs, Kevin Curd, Scott Hodge, James Carver and Gregory Jones. Honorary Pallbearers are the Staff and Nurses of Greystone Health Care Center and John Shoun. In lieu of flowers, memorial may be made to the family, c/o Phyllis Isaacs, 539 Robbit Hollow Lane, Mountain City, TN 37683. At other times, the family will receive friends at the home of Andrew's father, Andy Isaacs, 310 Dotson Lane, Apt #13, Mountain City, TN.
