Jo Ann Morefield

Jo Ann Morefield, age 51, of Winston Salem, NC, went home to be with her Lord on Friday, September 20, 2013 in the Kate B. Reynolds Hospice Home of Winston Salem, NC, surrounded by her family. She was born August 31, 1962 in West Chester, PA, to Russell Morefield and the late Doris Hall Morefield. In addition to her mother Jo Ann was preceded in death by her son Marvin Roush, III. Jo Ann enjoyed collecting Nick-Nacks. She loved making friends and never met a stranger. She was of the Baptist Faith. She is survived by her father Russell Morefield, of Laurel Bloomery, TN; daughter, Barbara Roush Hall; son, Adam Roush, both of Mountain City, TN; sister and brother-in-law, Tammy Widener and husband Rick of Mountain City, TN; brothers and sisters-in-law, Bill Morefield and wife Kathy of Mountain City, TN and Jimmy Morefield and wife Erica of Maryland; fiancé, Larry Throckmorton; seven grandchildren; special Aunts Betty and Dot Blevins; several more aunts, uncles, cousins, nieces and nephews. Funeral Services will be conducted at 8:00 p.m. Monday, September 23, 2013 at the Mountain City Funeral Home with Pastor Bill Morefield to officiate. The family will receive friends from 6-8:00 p.m. prior to the service at the funeral home. Graveside Service and Interment will be conducted at 11:00 a.m. Tuesday, September 24, 2013 at the Wesley Chapel Cemetery. Pallbearers will be Bill Morefield, Jimmy Morefield, David May, Adam Roush, Benny Campbell and Rick Widener. Honorary Pallbearers are Glen Wilson and Jo Ann's many special friends. In lieu of flowers, memorials in Jo Ann's memory may be made to Wesley Chapel Cemetery, c/o Benny Campbell, 251 Eastridge Road, Mountain City, TN 37683. At other times, the family will receive friends at the home of JoAnn's sister and brother-in-law, Tammy and Rick Widener, 2239 Deer Run Road, Mountain City, TN.
