Glenn Franklin Wilson

Glenn Franklin Wilson, age 72, of Vilas, NC, passed away Tuesday October 1, 2013 at the Wake Forest Baptist Medical Center in Winston-Salem, NC. He was born June 2, 1941 in Watauga County to the late James Bert Wilson and Elizabeth Icenhour Wilson. In addition to his parents Glenn is preceded in death by two sisters, Pearl Guy and Hazel Falwell, two brothers, Ivy Wilson and Tom Wilson. Glenn liked his cars. He attended Antioch Baptist Church; Glenn was loved by all and will be greatly missed. He is survived by his daughters, Kimberly Ellis and husband Billy and Melissa Harrold of N. Wilkesboro, NC, son, James Frankie' Wilson of Taylorsville, NC, three grandchildren and three great grandchildren, sisters, Louise Harper and Della Ward, brothers, J.C. Wilson, Jerry Dave' Wilson and Lee Wilson several nieces and nephews and many friends. The family will receive friends Thursday October 3, 2013 from 1-2:00 p.m. with the funeral service to follow at 2:00 p.m. from the Antioch Baptist Church with Pastor Kenny Ray Vaught to officiate, pallbearers will be family and friends. Graveside service and interment will follow the funeral service from the Reece Cemetery in Vilas, NC (Mabel School Rd.)
