Virda Mae Stout

Virda Mae Stout, age 84, of Mountain City, Tennessee, passed away on Tuesday, October 8, 2013 at her residence, surrounded by her family. She was born on April 13, 1929 to the late Garfield and Vira Martin Trivette. In addition to her parents, Virda was preceded in death by her husband Homer A. Stout; sister, Eula Faye Courtner and brothers: Dean Trivette, Arlis Trivette and Clay Trivette. Virda loved the Lord and enjoyed reading her bible. She worked at the Shoe Plant for many years. Virda also enjoyed being outdoors and liked to work in her flower and vegetable gardens. She also enjoyed crocheting and quilting and loved going to flea markets and scavenging them for great finds. Virda loved being surrounded by her family and enjoyed cooking for them, especially Sunday Dinner. Virda is survived by her loving sons and daughters-in-law: Kenny and Kim Stout and Bill and Rita Trivette, all of Mountain City, TN; sister, Patsy Eggers; brothers: Bob Trivette, Rod Trivette, Ottis Pen' Trivette; grandchildren: Lucas Stout, Dalton Brewer, Elizabeth Trivette and David Trivette; great grandchildren: Madison and Chloie; special friends: Dorothy Shoemake and Sandy Roberts; several nieces and nephews and many special friends. Funeral Service will be conducted at 3:00 p.m. Thursday, October 10, 2013 at the Mountain City Funeral Home with Pastor Gary Gambill and Pastor Don Everhart to officiate. The family will receive friends from 2-3:00 p.m. prior to the service at the funeral home. Graveside Service and Interment will follow at the Sunset Memorial Park. Pallbearers will be Robert Stout, Lucas Stout, Dalton Brewer, Jack Courtner, D.L. Brown and Tim Eggers. At other times, the family will receive friends at the home of her son, Kenny Stout, 330 Clarence Stout Lane, Mountain City, TN 37683.
