Evelyn L. Gambill, age 86, of Mountain City, Tennessee and formerly of Kennett Square, Pennsylvania, passed away peacefully on September 27, 2013 at the Johnson City Medical Center. She was the daughter of the late John and Edna Curry Briley. She attended Kennett High School. Eveyln was a former employee of NVF in Kennett and FMC/Cyklop Strapping in Downingtown, PA, from which she retired after 27 years of service. She enjoyed many activities, including sailing, camping, hiking, gardening, painting with watercolors and reading the Bible. Evelyn was a kind, loving and devoted mother and adored her grandchildren. She is survived by one daughter, Cindy Trivette and her husband Paul of Mountain City, TN; sons: Billy Gambill Jr. and his wife Sharon of Kennett Square, PA and Robert Woods of Mountain City, TN; stepson, Tom Gambill of North Carolina; two granddaughters: Tabitha Laverty and husband Matt of Wilmington, Delaware and Tiffany Gambill of West Chester, PA; one grandson, Billy Gambill III of Wilmington, Delaware; two great granddaughters: two brothers: Francis Briley and wife Betty of West Grove, PA and Colonel Howard Briley (Ret) and wife Michelle of France. In addition to her parents, Evelyn was preceded in death by two sisters: Mabel Ayers and Madeline Tepper; four brothers: Maurice, Charles, Harry and Franklin Briley and one granddaughter, Toshia Gambill, who passed away in 2005.
