Mary Lou Miller

Mary Lou Miller, age 71, of Mountain City, Tennessee, went home to be with the Lord on Friday, October 25, 2013 at the Johnson County Community Hospital. She was born on June 22, 1942 in Butler, TN; to the late Wade William and Blanche Courtner Ward. In addition to her parents, Mary was preceded in death by her husband of 40 years William S."Jack" Miller. Mary enjoyed being a Homemaker. She loved her family and will be truly missed. Mary was a member of Dewey Christian Church. She is survived by her daughters and sons-in-laws, Sharon and Jon Clark, Linda and Kenny Icenhour and Lora Miller; sons and daughter-in-law, Jack Miller and Steven and Teresa Miller; sister, Carolyn Sue Hemmings of Jefferson, NC; brother, Eddie Ward and wife Wanda of Jonesborough, TN; grandchildren: Kalen, Matthew, Dustin, Karlie, Kristen, Amber, C.J. and William; great grandchild: Jamie; and several nieces and nephews and cousins. The family will receive friends from 4:00 p.m. until 6:00 p.m. on Monday, October 28, 2013 from Mountain City Funeral Home with the funeral service to follow at 6:00 p.m. with Maurice Widener officiating. Graveside service and interment will be Tuesday October 29, 2013 at 1:00 p.m., from Mountain Home National Cemetery. Pallbearers will be Kenny Icenhour, Jon Clark, William Clark, John McNeil, Karlie Miller and Lynn Courtner. Honorary pallbearers are Dr. Jim Shine and staff and Dr. Asheesh Shipstone and staff.
