Carla Elaine Greer

Carla Elaine Greer, age 66, of Norfolk, Virginia, and formerly of Laurel Bloomery, Tennessee, passed away on Sunday, November 3, 2013. She was born on August 9, 1947 to the late Earl and Velma Lewis Chambers. In addition to her parents, Carla was preceded in death by a sister, Jane and a granddaughter, Britney. She was a member of State Line Baptist Church. Carla is survived by sons: Eugene Greer, Kevin Greer and wife Tonya; sisters: Violet, Kathy and Gail; brothers: Richard, Wayne, David, Freddie, Junior and Tony; grandchildren: Brandy, Whitney, Sylvia and Angel and their mother Carrie, Patrick and Caity and their mother Teresa; great grandchildren: Allyizon and Haleigh and several nieces and nephews. The funeral Service will be conducted at 8:00 p.m. Friday, November 8, 2013 at the State Line Baptist Church with Pastor Michael Icenhour to officiate. The family will receive friends from 6-8:00 p.m. Friday, prior to the service at the church. The Graveside Service and Interment will be conducted at 11:00 a.m. Saturday, November 9, 2013 at the State Line Cemetery. Family and Friends will serve as pallbearers. Honorary pallbearers are Bob Hunt and Don Reed. At other times, the family will receive friends at the home of Violet Morefield, 1271 Branch Road, Laurel Bloomery, TN 37680.
