Roy Carl Wilson

Roy Carl Wilson, age 92, of Mountain City, Tennessee, passed away on Wednesday, November 27, 2013 at the Johnson City Medical Center. He was born on December 4, 1920 to the late William and Nettie Greer Wilson. In addition to his parents, Roy was preceded in death by his brothers: Jess Wilson, Estel Wilson, Charlie Wilson, Jim Wilson and Clyde Wilson. Roy was a very simple, humble man who loved to read his Bible. Before his declining health, he loved his family and loved to cook dinner for them every Sunday. He was a member of State Line Baptist Church. Roy is survived by a nephew, Clay Wilson; niece, Mae Gentry; several great nieces, great nephews and cousins. Funeral Services will be conducted at 2:00 p.m. Sunday, December 1, 2013 at the Mountain City Funeral Home with Pastor Michael Icenhour to officiate. The family will receive friends from 1-2:00 p.m. prior to the service. Graveside Service and Interment will follow the funeral at the State Line Cemetery. Pallbearers will be Daniel Greene, Dustin Greene, Glen Estes, and Gary Woodard. Honorary Pallbearers are Jeremy Greene, Glenn Wilson, Roger Morefield, Ralph Hutto and Clay Wilson. The family wishes to extend a very special thank you to the Staff of Mountain City Care Center and Johnson County Rescue Squad. At other times, the family will receive friends at the home of Ralph and the late Fran Hutto, 3592 Sugar Creek Road, Laurel Bloomery, TN 37680.
