Charles Odell Wallace

Charles Odell Wallace, age 75, of Shady Valley, Tennessee, went home to be with his Lord and Savior on Friday, February 7, 2014 at his residence. He was born March 18, 1938 to the late Alex and Helen Eller Wallace. In addition to his parents, Odell was preceded in death by a brother, Jack Wallace. Odell loved working with wood and doing various carpentry work. He never met a stranger and loved his family very much and they loved him. He will be missed by all who knew him. He was a member of Little Laurel House of Prayer. He is survived by his best friend and wife, Eva Sue Wallace; children: Kitty Eller, Lisa Grindstaff and husband Paul, David Wallace and wife Jeannie, Kenneth Wallace, Tim Garland, Lisa Bullock and husband Tom, Berna Arnold and husband Mark, Kathy Parker and husband Rendall and Mike Garland; sisters: Katy Cornett and husband John, Judy Watson, Shirley Mains and Betty Watson and husband Herman; brothers: Jim Wallace, Bill Wallace, Dan Wallace and Ted Wallace and wife Brenda; grandchildren: Eric Eller, Bryce Wallace, Taylor Wallace, Casey Grindstaff and Ashley Wallace; Christopher Campbell, Gary Robinson, Matt Robinson, Brooke Garland, Miranda Garland and Michael Loyd Garland; great grandchildren: Trevor, Collin, Simon, Graci, Mia Tester and Justice Lee Robinson; several nieces and nephews and many special friends and neighbors. A Memorial Service will be conducted at 2:00 p.m. on Sunday, February 9, 2014 at the Mountain City Funeral Home Chapel with Minister J.B. Shelton officiating The family will receive friends from 1-2:00 p.m. prior to the service. It was Odell's wishes to be cremated. No formal graveside service will be held.
