Terri Hope Burgess

Terri Hope 'Wezzie' Burgess, age 35, of Mountain City, Tennessee, passed away on Sunday, February 16, 2014 at the Johnson City Medical Center. She was born on June 12, 1978 in Marion, North Carolina to Terry Burleson and Wanda Greer. Terri loved her family and friends. Her grandchildren were her life. She was full of life, loved to sing country music and loved her car that she had nicknamed 'Elvira'. Terri was a member of Sutherland Baptist Church. In addition to her parents, Terry Burleson and Wanda Greer, Terri is survived by her husband, Patrick Burgess; daughter, Hollie Norris and husband Timmy Church; son, Jacob Norris; sisters: Renea Stanbery and husband Chris and Ginger Burleson; nieces and nephews: John Burleson, Kirstin Stanbery, Dalton Stanbery, Sassy Carson and Joe Carson; grandchildren: Miley Brook Church, Daniel Farley Church, Hayden Ava-Nation Church; special friends: Nellie Wilson, Brenda Church, Anita Price, Heather Queen, Brenda Potter, Donna Potter, Flo Dowell and Ramona Greer and many more and several aunts, uncles and cousins. Funeral Services will be conducted at 2:00 p.m. Wednesday, February 19, 2014 at the Sutherland Baptist Church of Creston, North Carolina, with Pastors Ray Vaught and Brandon Fries. The family will receive friends from 12-2:00 p.m. prior to the service at the church. Graveside Service and Interment will follow at the Norris Cemetery (located on Mae Tester Lane). Pallbearers will be Patrick Burgess, Timmy Church, Chris Stanbery, Dalton Stanbery, John Burleson and James Norris. Honorary Pallbearers are Jacob Norris, Robbie Norris, Angie Church, Timmy Greer, Josh Greer and Joey Church.
