Nancy "Nannie" Wilson Stout

Nancy Nannie' Wilson Stout, age 94, of Lenoir, NC, passed away on Sunday, February 23, 2014 at the Shaire Center Nursing Home in Lenoir, NC. Nannie was born on February 16, 1920 in Trade, TN to the late Marvin and Freida Parks Wilson. In addition to her parents, Nannie was preceded in death by her husband John Kelly Stout; daughters: Mary Jo Stout Lovette and Nancy Karen Stout; four sisters, and four brothers. Nannie loved gardening and caring for her family. Nannie is survived by two daughters: Edna Viers of Bristol, TN and Barbara Tiller of Knoxville, TN, four sons: Norman Stout of Lenoir, NC, D.L. Stout and wife Kay of Abingdon, VA, John Kelly Stout Jr. and wife Carol of Lawton, OK and Roger Stout of Sawmills, NC; sixteen grandchildren, twenty five great grandchildren, several great- great grandchildren and several nieces and nephews. Funeral Service will be conducted at 2:00 p.m. Wednesday, February 26, 2014 from the Mountain City Funeral Home with Rev. Frank Johnson to officiate. The family will receive friends from 12:30-2:00 p.m. prior to the service at the funeral home. Graveside service and interment will follow at the Sunset Memorial Park. Pallbearers will be David Caldwell, Dalton Caldwell, Bruce Jett, Joey Childress, Joe Timbs and Eric Stout. Honorary pallbearers will be Keith Wilson, Harvey Brown, Danny Ray Wilson, Pat Trench and Darrell Arnold. Condolences may be sent to the family through our website at www.mountaincityfh.com.
