Peggie Anne Musick, age 76, of Shady Valley, Tennessee, passed away on Tuesday, May 20, 2014 at the Indian Path Medical Center. She was born on January 3, 1938 to the late Fletcher and Hazel Gentry Hutchins. In addition to her parents, Peggie was preceded in death by her husband Kenneth Ray Ralph' Musick and a son, Brady Kenneth Musick. Peggie was an employee of the Johnson County School System for 20 years, where she was a substitute teacher. She was a member of the Order of the Eastern Star for over 30 years. She enjoyed cooking, and making crochet butterflies. Peggie was an active member of the Shady Valley Presbyterian Church and a member of the church choir. She is survived by her children: Susan Cardona of Huntington, WV, Sherri Anne Parker and husband Bob of Kingsport, TN and Fletcher Musick, Gunnery Sergeant USMC, Retired, of Shady Valley, TN; brother, Jackie L. Hutchins, Command Master Chief USN Retired and wife Phyllis of Shady Valley, TN; grandchildren: Amanda Lindsay & husband Bryan, Mario Cardona, Tara Musick, Brett Parker, Rachel Parker; great grandchildren: Ethan Musick, Brandon Musick, Gabriella Lindsay and Byan Alexander Lindsay; her pets: Lexi and Cornflake, nephew, Butch Hutchins; niece, Donna Edwards; and many special friends. Funeral Services will be conducted at 7:00 p.m. Thursday, May 22, 2014 at the Shady Valley Presbyterian Church with Pastor Jack Stevens to officiate. The family will receive friends from 5:00 -7:00 p.m. on Thursday, prior to the service at the church. Graveside Service and Entombment will be conducted at 1:00 p.m. Friday, May 23, 2014 at the Roselawn Memorial Gardens and Mausoleum of Princeton, West Virginia. Pallbearers will be Gary Matheson, Jimmy Walker, Paul Martin, Will Righter, Bob Parker, Matt Otis and Mario Cardona. Honorary pallbearers are Mike Otis, G.K. Buckles, Dr. Khan, Dr. Shoba, Dr. Cardona, Victor Comberos, Dick Righter, Calvin Lewis, Robert James Frei and Bob Norris In lieu of flowers, memorials in Peggie's memory may be made to the Shady Valley Presbyterian Church, c/o Evelyn Taylor, 261 Taylor Lane, Shady Valley, TN 37688.
