Rebecca Jane Perkins

Rebecca Jane Perkins, age 53, of Mountain City, Tennessee, passed away on Wednesday, May 28, 2014 at the Johnson City Medical Center. She was born on August 29, 1960 to the late Charlie and Blanche Hartman Dunn. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by two brothers: Jimmy Dunn and Dale Dunn. Rebecca was a loving mother and wife who loved her family very much. She loved Jesus and enjoyed reading her Bible and sharing God's word. Rebecca also enjoyed gardening. She was a member of New Hope Baptist Church. Rebecca is survived by her husband, Paul Perkins; son, Jesse Perkins; sisters: Sharon Stout and husband Jack and Barbara Dunn; brothers: Cliff Dunn and wife Ann, Roby Dunn and wife Celeste, Benny Dunn and wife Donna and Steve Dunn and wife Marie and several nieces and nephews. Funeral Services will be conducted at 7:00 p.m. Friday, May 30, 2014 at the Mountain City Funeral Home Chapel with Pastor Roy Wilson to officiate. The family will receive friends from 5-7:00 p.m. prior to the service at the funeral home. Graveside Service and Interment will be conducted at 10:00 a.m. Saturday, May 31, 2014 at Rock Springs Baptist Church Cemetery. Pallbearers are Earl Campbell, Mack Williams, Charlie Barnes, Jason Dunn, Jeremy Dunn and Billy Stout. Family, Pallbearers and Friends are asked to assemble by 9:30 a.m. Saturday at the funeral home to go in procession to the cemetery.
