Phillip Mullins, age 55, of Mountain City, Tennessee, passed away on Monday, June 2, 2014. He was born on November 17, 1958 in Wilmington, Delaware to the late Chesley Bowden Mullins and Elsie Miller Garrett. In addition to his parents, Phil was preceded in death by his first and second wives, Elizabeth Mullins and Sherian Mullins; uncle, Kenneth Miller, and cousins: Jim Phillippi and Bob Phillippi. At age eleven, Phil's family moved to Porter, Texas, where he lived for many years. He loved spending time with his family and friends and enjoyed playing the guitar. He would often get together with his friends and play music and he was part of a band, Marie and Friends. Phil also enjoyed building with stone, and hunting. He attended First Apostolic Church of Mountain City. Phil is survived by his daughter and son-in-law, Patricia L. Turner and husband Steven; sisters: Patricia L. Steiner and husband Scott and Sandra L. Waters and husband Jerry; grandchild, Steven B. Turner; significant other, Marie Nickels; special friends: Charlene Donohoe and Mae Matheson; nieces, Briena Peck, Charle Williams and Emma Linn; nephews: Justin Taylor, Kenneth Taylor and Jonathan Browning; aunts: Virginia Phillippi, Earlene DePhilippis, Wanda Davis and husband John and Lynda Sutherland and husband Ron; uncle: Curtis Mullins and wife Gertrude; cousins: Roby Phillippi and wife Carol, Harold Phillippi and wife Faye, Johnny Davis and wife Terry, Mark DePhilippis and wife Shannon, Matt DePhilippis and wife Kelly, Ronnie Mullins and wife Jewel and Joyce Letterman and husband Jerry; and many more special friends.
