Jean P. Forrester

Jean P. Forrester, age 76, of Mountain City, TN went to be with the Lord on Saturday, June 21, 2014 at Johnson City Medical Center Hospital. She was born July 16, 1937 in Ashe County, NC to the late Glen T. Price and Bertie Allen Price. In addition to her parents Jean was preceded in death by her brothers Charlie Price and Jack Price and by a niece Teresa Claudette Barrett. She was a Graduate of Riverview High School class of 1955. She retired after 19 years from Levi Strauss & Co. Jean was a homemaker and enjoyed crocheting, embroidering, quilting, gardening, canning and was also well known by many for her biscuit making. Jean enjoyed her flowers and humming birds and loved to take care of all her family and friends. She was of the Baptist Faith. Jean is survived by her husband of 52 years, Robert Glen Forrester; son, Jimmy Price and wife Robin of Elkton, MD; daughter, Joanie Lowe and husband David of Butler; sisters, Opal Lewis and husband Earl and Sandra Kay Barrett and husband Junior, both of Mountain City; brothers, Bruce Price and wife Purdie Mae, Dennis Price and wife Sharon, both of Mountain City, TN, and Gerald Price and wife Martha of Alexander City, AL; grandchildren, Jennifer Holcomb and husband James, Jimmy Price, Jr., Justin Lowe, and Devin Lowe and wife Ashley; great grandchildren, Blake Holcomb and Payge Holcomb; nieces, Rhonda Gibbs, Nancy Campbell and Paula Louman; special nieces, Kathy Henson and Wanda Greer; nephews, Mike Price, Phillip Price, Kelly Price, Dennis Price, Jr. and Chris Price; and several great nieces and nephews. The family will receive friends from 5:00 until 7:00 p.m. Tuesday, June 24, 2014 at Mountain City Funeral Home with the service to follow at 7:00 p.m. with Tyler Fenner to officiate. Music will be provided by Sandy Brown. Pallbearers will be David Lowe, Justin Lowe, Devin Lowe, James Holcomb, Jimmy Price, Jr. and Bill Ward, II. Honorary pallbearers will be John Allen, Bart Brown, Bill Woodard, Lacy Tyner, Chris Price and Heinz Watkins. The committal service and interment will be conducted at 2:00 p.m. Wednesday, June 25th at Sunset Memorial Park.
