Mary Ann Guy, age 64, of Mountain City, Tennessee, passed away on Sunday, July 13, 2014 at her home. She was born on May 7, 1950 to the late Bert and Vena Taylor Dickens. In addition to her parents, Ann was preceded in death by her husband, Coy Burl Guy, who passed away on March 28, 2010. Ann was a former employee of Levi Strauss. She loved going to yard sales and flea markets. She enjoyed raising a garden and canning. Ann knew that our time on earth was very precious and limited and she made sure that she spent quality time with her family and she especially loved spending time with her grandchildren. She never spoke with anyone that she did not tell them that she loved them'. She was a member of Pleasant View Christian Church. Ann is survived by her loving children and son-in-law and daughter-in-law: Melissa Taylor and husband Bobby, Wayne Guy and wife Bonnie Davis Guy and Jeff Guy and wife Tammy; sisters and brother-in-law, Lou (who was also Ann's twin sister) and Lewis McElyea, sister, June Stanley; brothers and sisters-in-law: Wendell Shot' and Mary Ann Dickens and Ira and Louise Dickens; grandchildren: Ashley Guy, Grace Guy and Rosie Guy; special friends: Dr. Donald and Carole Tarr, Bill and Marie Brookshire, Caroline Roark and Chris and Bonnie Reece; many special nieces, nephews and special friends. Funeral Service will be conducted at 7:00 p.m. Wednesday, July 16, 2014 at the Pleasant View Christian Church with Pastors Gary Bowman, Neil Reagan and Shannon Courtner officiating. The family will receive friends from 5-7:00 pm. prior to the service at the church. Graveside Service and Interment will be conducted at 11:00 a.m. Thursday, July 17, 2014 from the Dickens Family Cemetery, located on Red Brush Road. Pallbearers will be son-in-law, Bob Taylor; nephews, Craig McElyea, Kenneth Dickens and Ronnie Dickens; special friends of the family, Mike Austin, Gary Stout and Tom Rhymer. Honorary Pallbearers are Wendell Shot' Dickens, Ira Dickens, Lewis McElyea, Vic Davis, Bill Taylor, Bill Brookshire, Chris Reece and Dr. Donald Tarr. Family, Pallbearers and Friends are asked to assemble at 10:30 a.m. Thursday, at the church, to go in procession to the cemetery. To my twin, my sister, my best friend, my other half. We have been together all of our lives and we will be together again for eternity in God's Kingdom. I love you.
