Zola Mae Snyder

Zola Mae Snyder, age 94, of Mountain City, Tennessee, passed away on Thursday, August 7, 2014 at her residence. She was born on June 12, 1920 to the late Roy McKinley White and Ada Dove Phillips White. In addition to her parents, Zola was preceded in death by her husband Watson Decatur Doc' Snyder; a son, Scotty Lane Snyder; one sister, Wanetta White and two brothers: Willard Widd' White and Frank White. Zola was a retired from teaching following 44 years of service. She was an avid reader and enjoyed the outdoors and working in her flower gardens. Zola was a member of First Baptist Church. Zola is survived by her sons and daughter-in-law: Joe Pat and Judy Snyder and Michael Lynn Snyder; grandchildren: Daniel Snyder and wife Rebecca and Shane Snyder and wife Angel; great grandchildren: Shianti, Scotty and Bryce; special caregivers: Venia Stout, Debbie Greene, Marie Mahala, Carolyn Adams and Mary Ward, and several nieces and nephews. Funeral Services will be conducted at 2:00 p.m. Saturday, August 9, 2014 at the First Baptist Church with Pastors Harry Wills and Ricky Campbell to officiate. Graveside Service and Interment will follow from the Sunset Memorial Park. Active pallbearers will be grandsons and nephews. Honorary pallbearers are Dr. John Whitlock and the Ladies Sunday School Class of First Baptist Church. The family will receive friends from 1-2:00 p.m. prior to the service at the church.
