Jimmy Earl Stout Sr.

Jimmy Earl Stout Sr., age 78, of Mountain City, Tennessee, passed away on Monday, September 01, 2014 at his residence. He was born on May 2, 1936 to the late Marshall Stout and Bessie Dunn. In addition to his parents, Jimmy was preceded in death by half-brothers: J.R. Stout, Rhonda Stout and Walter Dunn. Jimmy was a very outgoing man who never met a stranger. He enjoyed being outdoors and especially enjoyed fishing, walking and jogging. Jimmy also enjoyed traveling. He was a United States Army Veteran. Jimmy was an active member of Nelson's Chapel Baptist Church. He is survived by his wife of 55 years, Ella Hudson Stout; son and daughter-in-law, Jimmy Earl Stout Jr. and Sheri; half-sister, Betty Jean Roberts; half-brother, Jack Stout; special grandson and best friend, Austin C. Stout; his special dog/friend, Ally and several cousins. Funeral Service will be conducted at 2:00 p.m. Wednesday, September 3, 2014 at the Mountain City Funeral Home with Pastors Sam Icenhour and Mike McNutt to officiate. Graveside Service and Interment will follow from the Dunn Memorial Cemetery. Pallbearers are Tom Hutchinson, Keith Wilson, Danny Ray Wilson, Shane Isaacs, Bob Wilson and Carl Mast. Honorary pallbearers are the members of Nelson's Chapel Baptist Church Men's Sunday School Class. The family will receive friends from 1-2:00 p.m. prior to the service, at the funeral home on Wednesday. At other times, the family will receive friends at the home, 333 Industrial Drive, Mountain City, TN 37683.
