June Marie Gouge

June Marie Gouge, age 77, of Mountain City, Tennessee, went home to be with the Lord on Thursday, September 18, 2014 at the Johnston Memorial Hospital of Abingdon, Virginia. She was born on June 4, 1937 in West Grove, PA to the late Lester Spencer and Elizabeth Greer Spencer. In addition to her parents she was preceded in death by brothers, Donald Spencer and Kennedy Spencer. June is survived by her husband of 57 years William Dean Gouge, step-father J. Paul Bush, daughters; Sherry Schuler and husband John, of West Grove, PA, Anita Genduso and husband Tom of Apex, NC, sons; Stephen Gouge and wife Nancy of Newark, DE, and Ronald Gouge and wife Karen of Newark, DE, sister, Mildred Lillard, eleven grandchildren, twelve great grandchildren, several nieces, nephews and cousins. She liked her flowers and the outdoors. She also loved to sing and teach kids and loved her family and spending time with them, especially her grandchildren and great grandchildren. June found happiness in making others happy and always saw the good in people, but her first love was God. She was a life member of West Grove Fire Company Ladies Auxiliary in West Grove, PA. June was a member of the Mountain City Church of Christ. The family will receive friends Sunday, September 21, 2014 from 2-3:00 p.m. at the Mountain City Funeral Home with a Celebration of Life service to follow at 3:00 p.m. with Minister Tommy Johnson and Minister Chuck Stewart to officiate.
