Alma S Lindsay

Alma Lindsay, age 75, of Mountain City, Tennessee, passed away on Friday, September 26, 2014 at her residence. She was born on May 19, 1939 to the late Odell and Georgie Sawyer. In addition to her parents, Alma was preceded in death by sisters: Joyce Mendenhall, Lucille Higher, Juanita Claytor and Jerlean Quillan and brother, Buddy Sawyer. Alma loved spending time with her family and friends and enjoyed making others happy and making them laugh. She was always up for a good shopping trip. Alma enjoyed watching gospel services on television. She was a member of the Holiness Church of God. Alma is survived by her children: Brenda Lee Begley; sons: Donald Suggs and William Clay Begley; sisters: Lois Clarkson, Oddie May Sunders and Gladys McLawhorn; brother, Clay Sawyer; grandchildren: Brandy Bickmore, Brandon Suggs and Porschia Suggs; great grandchildren: Dawson Bickmore, Leland Bickmore and Eli Henson and several nieces and nephews. Funeral Service will be conducted at 2:00 p.m. Monday, September 29, 2014 at the Mountain City Funeral Home Chapel with Pastor Gary Hill to officiate. Graveside Service and Interment will follow at the Reece Memorial Cemetery. Active pallbearers are Donald Suggs, Brandon Suggs, Matt Henson, Earl Davis, Billy Sawyer and Clay Sawyer. Honorary pallbearer is Dewey Suggs. The family will receive friends from 1-2:00 p.m. on Monday, prior to the service.
