Norma Jean Humphrey, age 68, of Mountain City, Tennessee, passed away Saturday, October 11, 2014 at her residence. She was born on November 23, 1945 to the Sue Lowe Roberts and the late Hugo Roberts. In addition to her father, Norma was preceded in death by a brother, Jerry Roberts. Norma was a member of Doe Valley Baptist Church and had attended Vaughts Gap Baptist Church. She enjoyed life and lived each day to the fullest. She loved her family and friends and spent her life making sure that everyone was taking care of. Norma was always willing to lend a helping hand to her family, friends and neighbors. She also enjoyed music. In addition to her mother, Sue Roberts, Norma is survived by her husband of 50years, Edwin Humphrey; children: Elizabeth Holland and husband Mark and Debra Bryant and husband Leon; grandchildren: Joshua Bryant and wife Kayla, Trista Wilson and husband Jesse, Ericka Roark and husband Aaron, Chelsea Fenner and fiancé Aaron Crowder, Mark Holland Jr. and wife Amanda and William Bill' Holland; great grandchildren: Clara Wilson, Thomas Bryant, Brooke Holland and Luke Holland; brother, Gary Roberts and wife Alice, sister, Janice Howard and husband Frank; several nieces and nephews and many, many special friends. The family will receive friends from 1-3:00 p.m. on Monday, October 13, 2014 at the Mountain City Funeral Home. Funeral Service will follow with Norma's son-in-law, Pastor Leon Bryant to officiate. Graveside service and interment will follow from the Sunset Memorial Park. Active pallbearers will be Jesse Wilson, Aaron Roark, Billy Holland, Aaron Crowder, Charlie Jennings, Joshua Bryant and Carl Michael Howard. Honorary pallbearers are Ernest Tester, Larry Wagner, Bob Mink, Dale Phillips and all of Norma's special friends. At other times the family will receive friends at the home of her daughter, Debra Bryant, 441 Maple Road, Mountain City, TN 37683.
