Barbara A. Dunn

Barbara A. Dunn, age 67, of 171 Deer Creek Crossing, Mountain City, Tennessee, passed away on Wednesday, October 29, 2014 at her residence. She was born on January 18, 1947 to the late Ora Lay and Shirley Vaughn McCarty. In addition to her parents, Barb was preceded in death by a brother, Allan Lay. She was a retired truck driver. She loved her four cats, enjoyed cooking, watching movies, and working on her online newspaper. Barb was always "getting ready for the trip". Barb is survived by her daughters: Jennifer Lunceford of Mountain City, TN and Angela Norris and husband John of Laurel Bloomery, TN; her son, Michael Dunn of Mountain City, TN, Grandchildren: Auston, Brittany, Elosha, Chris, Devin, Alex, Tristin, Ian, and Chance, Great Grandson: Silas, Nephews: Duane, Charles, David, Victor, and by her boyfriend of several years, Jimmy Brue of Libby, Montana, Special Friends: Flo Bellamy and Byron Morrison. The family will receive friends from 5-6:00 p.m. on Monday, November 3, 2014 at Mountain City Funeral Home. Honorary pallbearers will be all of her friends. It was Barb's wishes to be cremated, and per her request, there will be no formal service. The family would like to express their appreciation to the Johnson County Rescue Squad, Dr. James Shine and Staff, and Johnson County Home Health Therapy and Nursing for all that they have done and for their kindness and compassion.
