Lewis G. Wilson, age 64, of Mountain City, Tennessee, passed away on Saturday, December 13, 2014 at his residence. He was born on June 20, 1950 to Jeane Lewis Wilson and the late Ernest Grant Wilson. In addition to his father, Lewis was preceded in death by a nephew, Brad Dunn and his father-in-law and mother-in-law, Clarence and Marie McElyea. Lewis worked for Burlington industries, where he designed patterns, until their closure. He then worked for Broyhill Inn at ASU until his retirement. Lewis loved to play and watch golf and work crossword puzzles. He was an avid UT Fan. Lewis was a member of Green Valley United Methodist Church of Creston, NC. In addition to his mother, Jeane Wilson, Lewis is survived by his wife of 28 years, Linda McElyea Wilson; brother, "Charlie" Len (Bush Hog) Wilson and wife Fran; sisters-in-law: Kathy Dunn and husband Paul, Sheila Story and husband Steve and their children Matt Story, Bethany Story Allen and husband Nick and Bethany and Nick's children Logan and Taylor; brother-in-law, Danny McElyea and wife Tammy and their children, Chris McElyea and Angela Rhudy Carico and her children, Gavin and Camden; several aunts, uncles and cousins. A Funeral Service will be conducted at 2:00 p.m. on Monday, December 15, 2014 from Mountain City Funeral Home with Pastor Ricky Mitchell officiating. Music will be provided by Mr. Joe Simcox. Graveside Service and Entombment will follow at the Sunset Memorial Park Mausoleum of Love. Pallbearers will be Tom McNeil, Larry Henson, John Bishop, Gary Ellison, Larry Wilson and Meredith Knight. Honorary pallbearers: Dr. Peter Haibach, Bob and Shirlene Pardue, Bill Wilson, Wilbur Heimburger, Ronnie Stewart, Eddie Snyder and Richard Wilson. The family will receive friends from 1-2:00 p.m. prior to the service at Mountain City Funeral Home. In lieu of flowers and food, it was Lewis' request that memorial donations in his memory be made to the Shriner, PO Box 5548, Kingsport, TN 37663 or St. Jude Children's Research Hospital, PO Box 1893, Memphis, TN 38101-9950 At other times, the family will receive friends at the home, 241 Rainbow Road, Mountain City, TN.
