Norma Jones

Norma Dora Holloway Jones, age 56, of Butler, Tennessee, went to be with the Lord on Saturday, December 20, 2014 at the Johnson County Community Hospital. She was born on March 4, 1958 in Carter County, TN to Norma Ruth Reece Hopkins and the late Hunter Holloway. Norma was known as Nanny' to many. She loved all children but especially her grandbabies. She was a member of the Fish Springs Baptist Church. She is survived by her constant companion and caregiver, Donald Jones; mother and step-father, Norma Ruth and James Hopkins; daughters and sons-in-law: Christy Potter and husband Michael and Sylvia McCranie; sister and brother-in-law, Nancy Morefield and husband Rev. Chuck Morefield; five grandchildren: Samantha Adcox, Clay Potter, Nina Roush, Dennis McCranie and John McCranie; nephew Tyler Morefield; best friend, Sheryl; her cat, Lucifer Lucy'; several aunts and uncles and many cousins. The family will receive friends from 5-7:00 p.m. Monday, December 22, 2014 at the Mountain City Funeral Home with the funeral service to follow at 7:00 p.m. with Rev. Chuck Morefield to officiate. Graveside Service will be at 11:00 a.m. Tuesday December 23, 2014 from the Rock Springs Cemetery. Pallbearers will be Mike Potter, Tyler Morefield, David Mullins and Christopher Jones. Honorary pallbearers are Donnie Miller, Coleman Brown, Earl Morefield and Clay Potter. At other times, the family will receive friends at the home, 4421 Little Dry Run Road, Butler, TN 37640.
