Floyd B. Presnell, age 81, of Mountain City, Tennessee, formerly of Chadds Ford, Pennsylvania, passed away on Monday, December 22, 2014 at the Mountain City Care Center. He was born in Carter County, TN on February 27, 1933, to the late Benjamin Presnell and Lilly Stout Presnell. In addition to his parents, Floyd was preceded in death by his wife Shirley Tipton Presnell, daughter Landy Lawless, sister Frances Grooms and a special friend Mae Phipps. Floyd worked for General Motors for a while before becoming a Butcher for 40 years in Philadelphia, PA and Chester, PA. He was a United States Army Veteran. He is survived by one daughter and son-in-law, Brenda Phillips and husband Mark of Linwood, PA; sons, Loyd Presnell of Oxford, PA and Boyd Presnell and wife Michelle of Kennett Square, PA; Six grandchildren, Two great grandchildren, Special Friend Christie Groover of Abindgon, VA and his many friends who met with him at the local restaurants. The family will receive friends from1-2:30 p.m. Saturday, December 27, 2014 at the Mountain City Funeral Home with the funeral service to follow at 2:30 pm. with Spencer Roark and Daniel Jones to officiate. The family will also receive friends at 1:00 p.m. Monday, December 29, 2014 at the Kuzo-Grieco Funeral Home of Kennett Square, PA. Graveside Service and Interment with Military Honors will follow at the Union Hill Cemetery, Kennett Square, PA with Pastor Robert Vannoy to officiate. Pallbearers will be family and friends. Memorial donations in Floyd's memory may be made to the Mountain City Care Center Activity Fund, 919 Medical Park Dr., Mountain City, TN 37683.
