Vickie Jo Maze

Vickie Jo Maze, age 51, of Mountain City, Tennessee, passed away unexpectedly on Tuesday, December 23, 2014. She was born on November 21, 1963 to John Maze, Jr. and Sue Farthing Maze. She was preceded in death by a son Wesley Justin Hamby on November 7, 2013, niece Misty Lynn Bright, paternal grandparents John and June Maze and her maternal grandparents Joe and Nettie Farthing. Vickie was employed by Walmart for many years. She enjoyed rock hunting was a member of Locust Gap Church and attended Roans Creek Baptist Church. She is survived by her daughter Opal Hamby, granddaughter, Kaleigh Jo Grace Dunn, parents, John , Jr .and Sue Maze, sisters, Cheri Bright and husband Mitchell, Kasey Maze and Megan Maze all of Mountain City; brothers, Chuck Maze and wife Kristy of Trade and Dakota Maze of Mountain City; nieces, Junie Phipps and husband Brian of Mountain City and Ashleigh Howard and husband Joe of Shady Valley; nephews Joey Bright, Christopher Maze and wife Sheena of Mountain City; great niece, Hannah Phipps, great nephews, Steven Phipps, Isaac Phipps, Jacob Phipps, Conner Maze and Michael Maze and great-great niece, Ashlyn Toney. The family will receive friends Saturday December 27, 2014 from 6:00 - 7:00 p.m. from Roans Creek Baptist Church with a memorial service to follow at 7:00 with Pastors David Hankal and Harry Cunningham to officiate. In lieu of flowers memorials in Vickie's memory may be made to the Roans Creek Baptist Church Youth Fund, 639 Lumpkin Branch Rd., Mountain City, TN 37683. At other times, the family will receive friends at the home of her parents, John, Jr. & Sue Maze, 399 Mill Creek Road, Mountain City, TN.
