Edith V. Keiter Triplett, age 100, of Mountain City, Tennessee, passed away on Monday, February 2, 2015 at Tennova Medical Center of Knoxville, TN. She was born on March 12, 1914 in Schuylkill County, Pennsylvania to the late Ira and Katie Gongloff Keiter. In addition to her parents, Edith was preceded in death by her husband, Bruce Triplett; three sisters and two brothers. She married J. Bruce Triplett and moved to Mountain City, Tennessee in 1952. Edith enjoyed playing the piano and played the piano for many years at the Clinton Presbyterian Chapel. She also enjoyed gardening, flowers and craft making. She is survived by sons and daughter-in-law: Larry and Nancy Triplett of Knoxville, TN and Ronald B. Triplett of Bristol, TN; sister, Elva Bologese of Perkionville, PA; five grandchildren: Chip Triplett, Jeanne Fergerson, Sara Ratcliffe, Rebecca Triplett and Jason Triplett and wife Natasha; six great grandchildren: Spencer Fergerson, Laura Mae Fergerson, Matthew Triplett, Cameron Ratcliffe, Ryleigh Milhorne and Zarah Triplett. The family wishes to extend their appreciation and gratitude to special friends: Joyce Barker, Joe Triplett, Bruce and Mary Triplett, Odell Johnson and Laura Huggins. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions in Edith's memory may be made to the Phillippi Cemetery, c/o Dinah Jeffries, 264 West Holy Hill Road, Mountain City, TN 37683 or the Johnson County Senior Center, 128 College Street, Mountain City, TN 37683. Funeral Service will be conducted at 1:00 p.m. Saturday, February 7, 2015 at the Mountain City Funeral Home with Pastor Frank Johnson to officiate. The family will receive friends from 12-1:00 p.m. prior to the service. Graveside Service and Interment will follow from the Phillippi Cemetery. Pallbearers will be Chip Triplett, Jason Triplett, Spencer Fergerson, Matthew Triplett, Cameron Ratcliffe, Joe Triplett. Honorary pallbearer is Odell Johnson.
