Sue Elizabeth Lowe Roberts

Sue Elizabeth Lowe Roberts, age 93, of Mountain City, Tennessee, went home to be with her Lord on Friday, February 6, 2015 at the Mountain City Care Center. She was born on November 7, 1921 to the late William Franklin Lowe and Verna Mae Shoun Lowe. In addition to her parents, Sue was preceded in death by her husband, Hugo Roberts; daughter, Norma Jean Humphrey; a son, Jerry Harold Roberts; one sister and five brothers. Sue was a two time cancer survivor and lived life to the fullest. Sue was a very active lady who loved traveling and stopping at Long John Silvers for a good meal. She enjoyed planting and raising a large garden and took great pride in working up and canning her home grown vegetables. She also enjoyed fishing, watching TV and working crossword puzzles. She is survived by a daughter, Janice A. Howard; son, Gary Roberts; sister, Bonnie Kate Stout; grandchildren: Carl Michael Howard, Angie Holman, Elizabeth Holland, Debbie Bryant, Jerry Wayne Roberts and Brian Roberts; great grandchildren: Krissy Ann Howard, Victoria Rose, Tony Church, Logan Lee Church, Trista Wilson, Ericka Roark, Chelsea Fenner and Josh Bryant; great-great grandchildren: Clara Beth Wilson and Thomas Keith Bryant and several nieces and nephews. Funeral Services will be conducted at 2:00 p.m. Monday, February 9, 2015 at the Mountain City Funeral Home. The family will receive friends from 1-2:00 p.m. prior to the service at the funeral home. Graveside Service and Interment will follow from the Sunset Memorial Park. Pallbearers will be Carl Michael Howard, Josh Bryant, Burley McComas, Bobby Stout, Gary Collins, Ed Humphrey. Honorary pallbearers are Jerry Wayne Roberts, Mark Combs, Brian Roberts, Dr. John Whitlock and Daniel Jones and their Medical Staff, Junior Holman, Mark Holland and Joe Sherwood.
