Anna Laura Smith Fuller

Anna Laura Smith Fuller, age 50, of Boone, North Carolina and formerly of Mountain City, Tennessee, passed away on Thursday, February 19, 2015 at the Caldwell Hospice and Palliative Care. She was born on May 7, 1964 to Edna E. Lipford Smith and the late Loyd E. Bud' Smith. In addition to her father, Anna was preceded in death by her maternal grandparents, Ruth and Avery Lipford; paternal grandparents, Mary Bess and John Smith and a brother-in-law, Tony Gerald Smith. Anna was a graduate of Johnson County High School. She was a very out-going person who was always smiling and wanted to see others smile. She was very giving and would always do what she could to help others. Anna was a member of Bibleway Baptist Church of Boone, NC. In addition to her mother, Edna Smith; Anna is survived by her children: Charles Neil Hawkins and Lindsey Hawkins; sisters and brothers-in-law: Cynthia Larae Smith, Pam Poteet and husband Tim, Mary Ruth Stout and husband Bill, Melissa Wilson and husband Adam; brother, Tim Smith and Jackie Buchanan; grandchild, Harden Shawn Thor Dowell; special friends: Jennifer Davis and Dawn Laws; nieces and nephews: Beth Poteet, Tiffany Stout, Shawna Smith, Brian Smith and wife Lisa and Douglas Arnold and wife Kayla; several great nieces and nephews and many friends. Graveside Service and Interment will be conducted at 3:00 p.m. Sunday, February 22, 2015 at the Phillippi Cemetery with Pastor Michael Green officiating. Honorary pallbearers are Daniel Winters, Neil Hawkins, Timothy L. Smith, Adam Wilson, Bill Stout, Tim Poteet, Jackie Harless.
