Joseph Allen Clawson Joseph Allen Clawson, age 45, of Oliver Springs, TN went to be with the Lord on Friday, February 20, 2015. He was born April 6, 1969 to Joe Clawson and the late Venia Lefler Clawson. In addition to his mother, he was preceded in death by his wife, Sally Clawson, a sister, Dixie Tester, and a brother Charles Lipford. Mr. Clawson was a kind and good hearted person who was known for being dependable to all who knew him. Those who knew him described him as having a heart of gold. He loved helping people. Survivors include his father, Joe Clawson, Step-daughters: Stephanie Brendon and husband Jessee, Erica Lowe, Polly Young, and Angie Phillips; sisters Glenda Parsons, Donna Yelton and husband Robert; brothers Glen Lipford, Jr., Richard Lipford, and Tom Lipford Sr., several nieces, nephews and cousins. Funeral services will be conducted at 1:00 PM on Wednesday, February 25, 2015 from the Mountain City Funeral Home Chapel. The family will receive friends from 12-1:00 prior to the funeral service. The interment service and burial will follow at Wilson Cemetery. Pallbearers will be Robert Yelton, Cody Yelton, Matthew Lipford, Tommy Lipford, Jr., Josh Lipford, and Eddie Johnson. Honorary pallbearers will be Tom Lipford, Sr., and Jessee Branden.
