Janice E. Davis

Janice E. Davis, age 84, of Trade, Tennessee, passed away on Monday, February 23, 2015 at the Johnson City Medical Center. She was born on March 4, 1930 to the late Clyde and Hassie Price Wallace. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Grady Davis; sister, Ruby Thomas and a brother, Ray Wallace. Janice retired from TRW and loved working there and loved the friendships that she made with her co-workers. She enjoyed working in her vegetable garden and canning. Some of Janice's favorite hobbies included quilting, sewing and shopping at the beach with her daughter. She is survived by her loving daughter, Norma Davis; special sisters-in-law, Wanda Wilson and Beatrice Reece; special friends: Chuck and Kristy Maze, and several nieces and nephews. Funeral Service will be conducted at 3:30 p.m. Wednesday, February 25, 2015 at the Mountain City Funeral Home Chapel with Pastor Tony Potter to officiate. Graveside Service and Interment will follow at the Trade United Methodist Church Cemetery. Pallbearers will be Marlin Thomas, Ted Thomas, Lynn Thomas, Darrell Reece, Bob Lipford and Mike Mullinax. Honorary pallbearers are Odell Johnson and Blaine Thomas. The family will receive friends from 2:30 - 3:30 p.m. prior to the service at the funeral home.
