Sarah Snyder Wilson, age 104, of Narrows, Virginia, passed away on February 22, 2015 at her residence. She was born on November 5, 1910 to the late Noah and Stella Snyder. In addition to her parents, Sarah was preceded in death by her husband, William David Wilson; son, Bruce Wilson and his wife Mary Jo; step sons, Ralph Wilson and his wife Ethylene and James Wilson; son-in-law, John Moye; grandson, Eric Wilson; great granddaughter, Amber Perdue; six sisters and three brothers. She retired from Celanese Textile with 27 years of service. Sarah loved going on sunshine tours with her friends, sitting on her front porch talking with her wonderful neighbors Libby and Vera, taking loving care of her house and flower garden, crocheting and working her puzzle books. Sarah loved her church and was a faithful member as long as her health allowed. Sarah was a humble caring Mother and Grandmother, always putting others before herself. She loved her family very much and will be dearly missed. Sarah is survived by her daughter, Mary Lee Moye of Narrows, VA; step son, Paul Wilson and wife Phyllis of Pocatello, Idaho; eight grandchildren: Connie Burton (Danny), Garland Ratcliffe (Debbie), Ron Ratcliffe (Erika), Linda Piasio (Rich), Mona Floyd, Cindy Riddle (Rod), Matt Wilson (Patty), Mark Wilson (Gloria), six step grandchildren: Mike Wilson, Leonard Wilson (Janice), Larry Wilson (Sylvia), Jerry Wilson, Barbara Coulon, Carolyn Whitter (Dennis) and numerous great and great-great grandchildren, nieces and nephews. Our family would like to thank say a special thank you to Pastor Ricky Green and his wife Tamara for your special visits and prayer time which brought laughter and comfort to our Grandmother. A Celebration of Life Service will be conducted at 2:00 p.m. Thursday, February 26, 2015 at the Mountain City Funeral Home Chapel with Pastor Harry Wills to officiate. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made for the up keep of the Snyder Cemetery, c/o Lane Dunn, 245 Dunn Lane, Mountain City, TN 37683 or to the charity of your choice.
