John Daniel Duvall

John Daniel Duvall, Jr., age 67, of Mountain City, went to be with the Lord on Sunday, March 8, 2015 at the Johnson City Medical Center. He was born June 16, 1947, In Johnson County, TN to Louise Jenkins Duvall and the late John D. Duvall. John was a kind and good hearted person. He was a 1966 graduate of Johnson County High School and received a degree from ETSU. John served his country in U.S. Army. John worked for Johnson County Highway Department during Don Grindstaff's administration in the office. John was a member of St Johns United Methodist Church. Survivors include his Mother, Louise J. Duvall, daughter: Tammy Duvall, several cousins, and John's many friends from Laurel Bloomery and Mountain City. Funeral services will be conducted at 11:00 am Tuesday March 10, 2015 from Mountain City Funeral Home with Tom Prater and Kenneth Phipps to officiate. The family will receive friends from 10-11:00 prior to the funeral service. The interment service and burial will follow at Jenkins Cemetery on Ackerson Creek Rd.
