Villis Icenhour, age 75, of Mountain City, Tennessee, went to be with her Lord on Friday, March 13, 2015 at the Johnson City Medical Center. She was born May 16, 1939 in Johnson County to the late Noah and Virdie Forrester Woodard. In addition to her parents, Villis was preceded in death by siblings: Carrie May, Louise Forrester, Marion, Elmer, Dan, Wade and Jerry Woodard. Villis was married on March 8, 1970 to James Icenhour and she was a loving wife for 45 years. She enjoyed life and just being around people. Villis was a wonderful caregiver for her mother and for her father-in-law Sam Icenhour for several years. She liked going to yard sales, to cook, to can, to work with flowers and raising a garden and being a housewife was very important to her. Villis liked to travel. She worked at the Mountain City Glove Plant for a number of years. Villis was a member of Vaughts Gap Baptist Church and attended with James at Calvary Baptist Church. In addition to her husband of 45 years James Icenhour she is survived by one sister, Artanzy Howard of Bristol, VA; two brothers, Paul Woodard of Bristol, VA and Glen Woodard of Hwy 88, NC; several nieces and nephews and cousins also survive, and many special friends. The family will receive friends from 6-8:00 p.m. on Monday, March, 16, 2015 at Vaughts Gap Baptist Church with the funeral service to follow at 8:00 p.m. with Pastors Chuck Morefield, Steven Spencer and Frank Johnson to officiate. Special Music will be provided by Vaughts Gap Church Choir. Graveside service and interment will be conducted at 11:00 a.m. Tuesday, March 17, 2015 from the Johnson Cemetery, family and friends are ask to assemble by 10:30 a.m. on Tuesday at the Funeral Home to go in procession. Pallbearers will be Delmer Icenhour and Deacons of Vaughts Gap Church and Deacons of Calvary Church. Honorary Pallbearers are Members and Church Families of Vaughts Gap and Calvary. Memorials may be made in Villis's memory to the Johnson County Rescue Squad, 203 Vandilla St., Mountain City, TN 37683 or to a charity of your choice. The family will receive friends at the home 2718 Cold Springs, Rd., Mountain City, TN 37683. Condolences may be sent to the family through our website at www.mountaincityfh.com.
