Jack Wheeler

Jack Wheeler, age 88, of Mountain City, Tennessee, passed away on Sunday, March 15, 2015 at the Johnson County Community Hospital. He was born on April 18, 1926 to the late Arthur and Hattie Simmons Wheeler. In addition to his parents, Jack was preceded in death by his sisters: Georgia Wheeler, Lucille Wheeler Miller and Dorothy Wheeler Miller and brothers: John Wheeler, Luther Wheeler and Claude Wheeler. Jack loved farming and raising cattle and horses. He owned and operated a produce business in Boone, North Carolina for many years, where he made many lifelong friends. Jack also had a special love for trucking. He was an avid Nascar Fan and lived and breathed anything Nascar. Jack is survived by his wife of 62 years, Nora Sue Susie' Wheeler; daughter, who shares her Daddy's love of trucking and farming, Diane Wheeler; sister, Betty Greer of the Triplett Community in North Carolina; several nieces and nephews and many special friends. The family will receive friends from 7-8:30 p.m. on Friday, March 20, 2015 at the Mountain City Funeral Home. Funeral Service will be conducted at 1:00 p.m. Saturday, March 21, 2015 at the funeral home with Daniel Jones officiating. Graveside Service and Interment will follow at the Wheeler Family Cemetery.
