Dorothy Cleota 'Cleo' McQueen

Dorothy Cleota Cleo' McQueen, age 83, of Shady Valley, Tennessee, passed away on Monday, April 20, 2015 at the Johnson City Medical Center. She was born on October 8, 1931 in Johnson County to the late Otto Watson and Mary Nichols Watson. In addition to her parents, Cleota was preceded in death by her sisters: Iris McCann, Gertrude Gilley and Wilma Watson, and brothers: Ronald Watson and Wade Watson. Cleota had worked at Levi Manufacturing and Litton Industries. She was a homemaker and loved cooking, gardening, quilting and taking care of her husband and family. Cleota will be missed by all who knew her. She was a member of Crandull Church of Christ. Cleota is survived by her husband of 64 ½ years, Reford McQueen; son and daughter-in-law, Randy and Marty McQueen; grandchildren: Ryan and Joanna McQueen; sister, Cordella Rugg and husband Bill; brother, Howard Watson and wife Lorraine; several nieces, nephews and cousins. Funeral Services will be conducted at 6:00 p.m. Thursday, April 23, 2015 at the Crandull Church of Christ with Tracy Dugger and Buddy Morefield to officiate. The family will receive friends from 4-6:00 p.m. prior to the service at the church. Graveside Service and Interment will follow at the McQueen Cemetery Pallbearers will be Ryan McQueen, David Watson, Michael Watson, Jack Blevins, Cody Grindstaff and Clay Walker. Honorary pallbearers are Men of the Crandull Church of Christ. Memorials in Cleo's memory may be made to the Shady Valley Volunteer Fire Department, c/o Kenneth McQueen, 134 McQueen Road, Shady Valley, TN 37688.
