John Osborne

John Fate Osborne, age 71, of Mountain City, Tennessee, passed away on Tuesday, April 28, 2015 at the Mountain City Care Center. He was born on September 23, 1943 to the late Golden and Emmer Mahala Osborne. In addition to his parents, John was preceded in death by a daughter, JoAnne Osborne; sisters: Shirley Jean South, Cressie Blevins, Wilma Dare Dunn and infant sister, Mona Lee Osborne and brothers: J.R. Osborne and William Tracy Osborne. John was a United States Army Veteran. He loved playing and listening to Bluegrass music. John is survived by his loving wife of 43years, Dorothy Dottie' Osborne; daughter and son-in-law, Joannie and Teddy McQueen; brother, Robert Osborne; grandchildren: Ethan McQueen, Chance McQueen and Noah McQueen and several nieces and nephews. Funeral Service for John will be conducted at 6:00 p.m. Friday, May 1, 2015 at the Mountain City Funeral Home with Pastor Steven Spencer officiating. The family will receive friends from 4-6:00 p.m. prior to the service. Graveside Service and Interment with Military Honors conducted by the Johnson County Honor Guard will be conducted at 11:00 a.m. Saturday, May 2, 2015 at the Mahala Cemetery, Creston, North Carolina.
