N. Ruth Caudill, age 93, of Ware Presbyterian Village, Oxford, Pennsylvania and formerly of Mountain City, Tennessee, passed away on Tuesday, May 26, 2015 at home. Mrs. Caudill was a lifelong member of the First Baptist Church of Mountain City. She lived in Mountain City her entire life before going to live with her daughter due to her declining health. Mrs. Caudill was preceded in death by her husband, Walter R. Caudill, to whom she was married for 52 years; parents, James E. and Ann Stout Rash; sisters: Zelma Young, Betty Shutt; brothers: Leslie Rash, Dean Rash, Billy R. Rash; and several sisters-in-law and brothers-in-law. Mrs. Caudill is survived by a son, Samuel D. Caudill and wife Susan of Midland, NC; daughter, Judy A. Shoun and husband Richard of Peach Bottom, PA; grandson, Jacob C. Caudill of Charlotte, NC; sister, Mary K. Reece of Mountain City, TN; brother, Charles Johnson and wife Lura of Mountain City, TN and many special nieces and nephews. Mrs. Caudill loved spending time with her family and friends. She was a Sunday School Teacher for the Beginner Sunday School Class at First Baptist Church for many years. She loved her church and church family. She also loved quilting and had made many quilts over the years for her family and friends. She also enjoyed painting and jewelry making. Mrs. Caudill started art lessons when she became a resident at Ware Presbyterian and painted pictures for her family and friends. The family will receive friends from 1-2:00 p.m. on Sunday, May 31, 2015 at the Mountain City Funeral Home with the funeral service to follow at 2:00 p.m. with Pastor Harry Cunningham and Robert Dalton officiating. Special music will be provided by Danny Cullop. Graveside Service and Interment will follow at the Phillippi Cemetery, Mountain City, TN. Pallbearers will be Bob Heck, Bill Heck, Edward Adams, Randy Adams, Dean Rhymer, Jack Shutt, Durward Stegall and George Wright.
