Chris Kendel Tipton, age 49, of Mountain City, Tennessee, passed away on Sunday, June 7, 2015 at the Greystone Healthcare of Blountville, Tennessee, following a long battle with liver disease. He was born on December 15, 1965 to Patricia Ann Robinette Tipton and the late Roy Harold Tipton. In addition to his father, Chris was preceded in death by his brother, Steven Lynn Mack. Chris was raised in Carleton, Michigan and attended Airport High School. He was an employee of Shoun Lumber Company. Chris enjoyed wood working, storytelling and spending time with his family. He was a member of the Community Church of Mountain City, Tennessee. In addition to his mother, Patricia Ann Tipton of Boone, NC; Chris is survived by his sister and brother-in-law, Leeann Tipton Baker and husband Samuel Dean Baker of Mountain City, TN; nephews: Roman Michael Mack of Richmond, MI and Justin Scott Baker of Mountain City, TN; nieces: Vanessia Dawn (Mack) Woods of Mountain City, TN and Katherine Elizabeth Mack of Winchester, VA; three great nieces and nephews. Private interment will be at the Sugar Grove Baptist Church Cemetery of Butler, Tennessee. The family would like to express their appreciation to Ray Lunceford for all of his assistance and support.
