O.H. 'Jack' Collins

O.H. Jack' Collins, age 96, of Mountain City, Tennessee, passed away on Monday, June 22, 2015, at the Johnson Community Hospital. He was born April 11, 1919 in Hancock County, TN to the late M.C. Collins and Fluie Horton Collins. In addition to his parents, Jack was preceded in death by his wife, Margie Faye Mains Collins; eight sisters and brothers. Jack owned and operated his own business in Mountain City for several years. He was a United States Navy veteran having served from 1942-1946. He was a member of Appalachian Church of Christ. Jack is survived by his loving daughter, Dianne Collins Moretz and husband Tim of Mountain City, TN and one sister, Ruth Collins of Ohio, and several nieces and nephews. Graveside Service will be conducted at 10:00 a.m. Friday, June 26, 2015 at the Sunset Memorial Park with Pastor Buddy Morefield to officiate. Pallbearers will be nephews: Darwin Main, Colis Main, Cleve Main, Otto Main, George Main and Mark Wallace. Honorary Pallbearers will Jack's Church family and friends. Family, pallbearers and friends are asked to assemble at the cemetery by 10:00 for services. Per Jack's request, his body will lie in state at Mountain City Funeral Home beginning on Thursday afternoon. Memorials in Jack's memory may be made to the Tennessee Childrens Home, PO Box 10, Spring Hill, TN 37174. All donations will stay in and assist children in East Tennessee.
