Matthew Craig Wright

Matthew Craig Wright, age 22, of Mountain City, Tennessee, went to be with the Lord on Thursday, July 23, 2015 at the Watauga Medical Center from complications of his heart. He was born on July 11, 1993 in Jacksonville, North Carolina to Steven Wright and Bonnie Osborne. Matt enjoyed spending time outdoors, loved helping others. He especially loved his family and spending time with them and with his dog Kosher. Matt attended Southside Freewill Baptist Church. Matthew is survived by his mother Bonnie Osborne of the home, father Steven Wright, Fiancé Brittany Potter of the home, his son Noah Joseph Wright and baby Timothy due in September, half-sisters Summer Moses of the home Taylor Wright, and Mercedes Wright, brother Hunter Wright, grandmother Linda Osborne, uncles Robert Osborne, Richard Osborne and Billy Weaver and best friend Robert Gwinn and many special friends. The family will receive friends Monday, July 27, 2015 from 5:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m. at Mountain City Funeral Home with a celebration of Matt's life to follow at 7:00 p.m. with Gary Hill to officiate. Graveside service and burial will be Tuesday, July 28, 2015 at 11:00 a.m. from the Phillippi Cemetery. Pallbearers will be Robert Gwinn, Billy Weaver, Richard Osborne, Jeffery Roark, Larry Greer and Patrick Fletcher. Honorary pallbearers are Tom Horne, Buddy Osborne and Robert Osborne. In lieu of flowers donations may be made in Matthews's memory to the family to help with the expenses.
