Louise Russom

Joan Louise Nave Russom, age 90, of Mountain City, Tennessee, passed swiftly over to her heavenly home on Saturday, July 25, 2015. She was born on May 5, 1925 in Johnson County to the late Edward Nave and Margaret Arnold Nave. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Glynn Russom, three sisters and two brothers. Louise was a gracious and caring lady that will be best remembered as a proud Mother and Grandmother. Although she enjoyed friends and socializing, home was her sanctuary and family her purpose in life. She was an accomplished pianist, seamstress, and baker but her greatest contribution in life was the gift of unconditional love she gave. Maya Angelou best described our Mother, Louise, this way: "To describe my Mother would be to write about a hurricane in its perfect power." Louise is survived by her loving daughters: Darlynn Eggers Reed and husband Kim of Cookeville, TN and Sherry Russom Walsh of the home; three caring sons: Speedy Russom of Hampton, TN, Timothy Russom and wife Carol of Mountain City, TN and Bo Russom of the home; grandchildren, Margaret Ann Shuster, Katie Walsh, Richie Russom, Scott Russom, Jeremy Russom, Jeremy Clark and A.J. Russom; great-grandchildren; Eli Shuster, Aisia Robbins, Cassidy Lakatos, Ivy Lakatos, Daniel Russom and Nora Russom. The family will receive friends from 5-7:00 p.m. on Wednesday, July 29, 2015 at the Mountain City Funeral Home. Graveside Service and Interment will be conducted at 11:00 a.m. Thursday, July 30, 2015 at the Phillippi Cemetery with Brother Barry Dunn to officiate. Family and friends will serve as pallbearers. Honorary pallbearers are Bo Russom, Tim Russom, Speedy Russom, Scott Russom, Jeremy Russom and Eli Shuster.
