Pauline Seatz

Pauline Seatz, age 70, of Zionville, NC, passed away on Tuesday, August 4, 2015. A native of Watauga County, NC, Pauline was born on April 9, 1945 to the late Spence and Mammie Wallace Watson. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her brothers: Lewis, Leonard, Finley, Harry, and Gurney Watson. Though Pauline lived in North Carolina, she spent a lot of time in Johnson County, Tennessee working and visiting her family and considered Johnson County her second home. Pauline was a kind, caring, and giving person who loved spending time her family, especially her grandchildren and great grandchildren. She loved flowers and God's beauty in them. She was of the Christian faith. Pauline is survived by her husband of 50 years, John Seatz; daughters: Debbie Adams and Teresa Chappell, both of Mountain City, TN; son, Kevin Seatz and wife Janie of Butler, TN; sisters: Faye Branch of Chesepeake, VA, Jannette Farthing and Ruth Green and husband Buddy, all of Banner Elk, NC; brothers: Howard Watson of Mount Airy, NC; Ronda Watson and wife Kathy of Boone, NC; grandchildren: Matthew Adams and wife Megan, Jason Seatz and wife Shelly, Justin Seatz, Hunter Seatz and Tyler Seatz; great grandchildren: Bryan Seatz, Karly Seatz, Carter Seatz, M.J. Seatz and Cash Adams; special friends: Betty Green and Terry Matheson; many more special neighbors and friends and several nieces and nephews. The family will receive friends from 6-7:30 p.m. on Thursday, August 6, 2015 at the Mountain City Funeral Home with the Funeral Service following at 7:30 p.m. with Pastor Junior Seatz and Pastor Tom Stevens officiating. Special music will be provided by Gaining Ground. Graveside Service and Interment will be conducted at 11:00 a.m. Friday, August 7, 2015 at the Reece Memorial Cemetery, located on Liberty Church Road. Pallbearers will be Matthew Adams, Jason Seatz, Justin Seatz, Eugene Seatz, James Payne and Brandon Mains. Honorary pallbearers are Hunter Seatz, Tyler Seatz, Jr. Martin and Terry Matheson. Family, pallbearers and friends are asked to assemble at the funeral home by 10:30 a.m. on Friday to go in procession to the cemetery. In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to a charity of your choice. At other times, the family will receive friends at the home, 883 West Brushy Fork Road, Zionville, NC 28698.
