Lynne Locklear Benson Lynne Locklear Benson, age 78, of Erwin, Tennessee and formerly of Blue Ridge Senior Living Center, Mountain City, Tennessee, passed away on Monday, August 31, 2015 at the Center on Aging & Health of Erwin. She was born on November 21, 1936 to the late Walter Marriote Benson and Iras Langston Benson. Lynne was a graduate of Clayton High School, Clayton, NC. Lynne received a 4 year degree from the Atlantic Christian College in Wilson, NC and received her Master's Degree in Social Services from Virginia Commonwealth University of Richmond, Virginia. She worked as a Social worker for the city of Wilmington, NC. Lynne was a United States Air Force Veteran. She is survived by her brother, John Benson and wife Natalie of North Wilkesboro, NC; niece, Moment Benson and one great niece, Katlyn Turner; one great nephew, Jacob Fields; special friends and caregiver Pam Isaacs and her husband Greg; special friend, Lou Dowell; all of Lynne's friends at Amedysis Home Health, Pam Bunting and Jackie Rock and Blue Ridge Senior Living of Mountain City, TN and Center on Aging & Health of Erwin, TN, who were like family. Funeral Service will be conducted at 2:00 p.m. Thursday, September 3, 2015 at the Mountain City Funeral Home. Military Honors will follow, at the funeral home, and will be accorded by the Johnson County Honor Guard. Lynne will be laid to rest at Mountain Home National Cemetery.
