Bruce Snyder, age 91, of Trade, Tennessee, passed away on Tuesday, September 01, 2015 at the Mountain City Care Center. He was born on September 26, 1923 to the late Carl and Docia Wallace Snyder. In addition to his parents, Bruce was preceded in death by his sisters: Elsie Wallace and Pauline Hayes and a brother, Jay Snyder. Like most people of his generation, Bruce was a proud American farmer, who took pride in his work. He also worked at ASU, where he retired from. Bruce enjoyed Bluegrass music and dancing. He was a World War II Veteran, having honorably served in the United States Army. Bruce was a member of Evergreen Baptist Church. He is survived by his loving wife of 71 years, Della Rae Snyder; his daughter, Patsy Snyder and husband Leroy Kneitz of Trade, TN; several nieces and nephews and many special friends and neighbors. Funeral Services will be conducted at 5:00 p.m. Thursday, September 3, 2015 at the Mountain City Funeral Home with Pastors Derick Wilson and Tony Potter officiating. The family will receive friends from 4-5:00 p.m. prior to the service. Graveside Service and Interment with Military Honors conducted by the Johnson County Honor Guard will follow at Sunset Memorial Park. Pallbearers will be Mark Wallace, Jeff McGlamery, Ed Snyder, Archie Wallace, Dick Grayson and Allen Snyder. The family would like to express their appreciation and gratitude to Dr. Robert Griffith and Staff of Mountain City Care Center for all of their loving care and kindness. At other times, the family will receive friends at the home, 390 C. Snyder Road, Trade, TN 37691.
