Jeff Dyson, age 52, of Buffalo, South Carolina, passed away on Friday, September 4, 2015, at the Johnson City Medical Center. He was born on September 28, 1962 in Boone, North Carolina. Jeff was preceded in death by his mother Betty Jo Church Lawrence June 6, 2014, and by a sister, Angie Lawrence. He was a man who never met a stranger. He enjoyed fishing, listening to music, dancing, and attending Church. Jeff was a member of Putman Baptist Church in Buffalo, SC. Jeff is survived by his wife of 13 years, Judy Campbell Dyson; father, Pat "Chub" Lawrence, brother, Tony Dyson, daughters, Dreama Tester, Sonya Ross, Brandy McCurry, Sarah Schwitzer and husband Jeff, and Tiffany Dyson, son, Dustin Dyson, seventeen grandchildren, two great-grandchildren, one nephew, several aunts, uncles, and cousins. The family will receive friends from 2-4:00 p.m. on Tuesday, September 8, 2015 at the Mountain City Funeral Home with the funeral service to follow at 4:00 p.m. with Pastors Harvey White and Rector Henson to officiate. The Graveside Service and Interment will follow at the Vanderpool Cemetery, Vilas, NC. Pallbearers will be Grandsons Brandon Smith and Joe Smith, Robert Masterson, Mark Church, Tim Church, and Scotty Shelton. Honorary pallbearers will be Jake Isaacs and Wesley Lawrence.
