Alice Helen Madron Treadway Alice Helen Madron Treadway, age 65, of Mountain City, Tennessee, passed away on Saturday, September 26, 2015 at the Mountain City Care Center. She was born on July 12, 1950 to the late Richard Earl Madron and Christine Gail Hammonds Madron. In addition to her parents, Helen was preceded in death by her husband, Loydll Eugene (Gene) Treadway; sister, Hope Madron Payne, brother, John Madron and brothers-in-law Toll Lewis and Marion Payne. Helen was a graduate of Johnson County High School. She worked in the Johnson County School System, went to Beautician school and then joined the United States Army and married Gene. Helen later worked for herself and did home improvements. Helen was a member of Pleasant Grove Baptist Church. She is survived by her sisters, Hilda Lewis and Hallie Williams and husband McArthur of Mountain City, sister-in-law, Sandra Madron of Florence, SC, and several nieces and nephews. Funeral Services will be conducted at 11:00 a.m. Tuesday, September 29, 2015 at the Mountain City Funeral Home Chapel with Pastors Harry Wills and Ricky Campbell officiating. The family will receive friends from10:00 -11:00 a.m. prior to the service. Graveside Service and Interment will follow at Mountain Home National Cemetery with Military honors accorded by Johnson County Honor Guard. Pallbearers will be Nephews; Honorary Pallbearers are Dr. Jim Shine, McArthur Williams, staff of Johnston Memorial Hospital, especially Lisa and Carla her social workers, Mountain City Care Center, Gregory's assisted Living in Meadowview, VA and Caris Hospice staff . In lieu of flowers memorials in Helen's memory may be made to the Johnson County Cancer Support Group % Flo Bellamy 3510 Hwy 421 N, Mountain City, TN 37683. At other times, the family will receive friends at the home of her sister Hilda 5263 Hwy 91 N; Mountain City, TN 37683.
