Leslie Stout

Mr. Leslie Stout, age 69, of Mountain City, Tennessee, passed away on Tuesday, September 29, 2015 at the Johnson City Medical Center. He was born February 27, 1946 in Johnson County to the late Will and Verna Potter Stout. Like most people of his generation, Leslie was a proud farmer. He loved working on the farm with his brother Burl and especially loved raising corn and tobacco. He also enjoyed working in wood. He attended Mountain City Church of God. Leslie is survived by his brother, Burl Stout, sisters; Lois Sluder and husband Alvin and Faye Woods and husband Truman; several nieces and nephews. The family will receive friends Friday, October 2, 2015 from 6 - 8:00 p.m. at the Mountain City Funeral Home. Funeral service will be held at 2:00 p.m. Saturday October 3, 2015 at the funeral home with Pastor Donnie Cox and Gary Hill to officiate. Graveside service and burial will follow from the Dunn Memorial Park. Pallbearers will be Jason Stout, Chris Stout, Pat Conville, Joey Dixon, Truman Woods and William Sluder. Honorary pallbearers are Alvin Sluder, Keith Wilson, Junior Martian, Selmar Potter, Buddy Dowell and Howard Williams.
