Lola Mae Arnold, age 70, of Mountain City, Tennessee, passed away on Saturday, October 3, 2015 at her residence, surrounded by her family. She was born on February 14, 1945 to Hazel Stout Branch and the late Warren Hardin Elliott. In addition to her father, Lola was preceded in death by her husband Johnny Arnold; brothers: Wayne Branch, David Branch, Franklin Elliott and Bobby Elliott; granddaughter, Emmalee Arnold and special niece, Kathy Smith.. Lola lived for her family, of whom she was very proud. She endured a lot growing up and had many struggles but Lola was a fighter and knew that with God, she could make it through. She loved raising vegetable and flower gardens and she took great pride in both. She was an avid football fan and loved the Dallas Cowboys. She was a member of First Baptist Church. In addition to her mother, Hazel, Lola is survived by daughters: Sheila Roark and husband Jerry, Mary Roark and husband Brian; sons: Steve Arnold and wife Drema, Brian Arnold and wife Delaina and Robert Eller and wife Michelle; sisters: Shirley Wagner, Brenda Garland, Barbara Campbell and Nancy Guinn; brother, Blaine Branch; nineteen grandchildren; fourteen great grandchildren, and several nieces and nephews. Funeral Service will be conducted at 7:00 p.m. Wednesday, October 7, 2015 at the Mountain City Funeral Home Chapel with Pastors Greg Poe, Roy Dowell and Shannon Courtner to officiate. Music will be provided by Shannon Courtner and Sandy Roberts. Graveside Service and Interment will be conducted at 11:00 a.m. Thursday, October 8, 2015 at the Sunset Memorial Park. Pallbearers will be Justin Roark, Aaron Roark, Adam Ward, Austin Roark, Sam Arnold, Warren Arnold, Johnny Eller, Joey Eller, Steven Arnold and Matt LaMarr. Honorary pallbearers are Harold Fenner and Johnny Vanzant. The family will receive friends from 5-7:00 p.m. on Wednesday, prior to the service at the funeral home. At other times, the family will receive friends at the home 1356 Pleasant Valley Rd., Mountain City, TN 37683. Condolences may be sent to the family at www.mountaincityfh.com.
